Activating Kafala System/ Alternative Families System project was approved by the Ministry of Social Solidarity at the level of Egypt, in order to provide a decent life for children without parental care and reduce institutional care, through:

• Raising the efficiency of 350 cadres in the Ministry of Social Solidarity (MoSS) on the delivery of content in the operations manuals of alternative family care. 300 cadres from MoSS plus 50 workers from partner organizaiton will be served.
• Building the capacity of 300 existing foster families on the principles of care and foster care systems.
• Empowering 5 civil society organizations to be able train 350 families on alternative care practices.
• Raising awareness in 200 orphanages and civil society organizations about their role in the alternative care system.
