Schools for Egypt

The project mainly depends on one-classroom community schools to provide high-quality education to children who didn’t enroll in schools or dropped out of basic education in remote villages. The project contributes to furnishing and supporting 60 community schools in Assiut, Sohag, and Qena.

Schools for Egypt 1

Furnishing and supporting 30 community schools in Assiut and Sohag from 2013 to 2019.

Schools for Egypt 2

Furnishing and supporting 15 community schools in Qena in partnership with Shorouk Misr and Star Care from 2015 to 2022. Orange Foundation also supported the project with tablets that eased access to quality content for the students and teachers.

Schools for Egypt 3

Furnishing and supporting 15 community schools in Assiut in partnership with Orascom Construction from 2018 to 2025.

The community schools project includes cooperation with the Digital Schools, an initiative by Mohammed––bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives to build the capacity of community education facilitators, and enable them to use technology in 34 community schools in Assiut and Sohag.
