Main Job Purpose:

Responsible for reporting on operational, financial, regulatory and compliance related audits/reviews to SFSD Projects & Programs.

Responsible of the Financial Audit function for all assigned SFSD projects and programs, and to ensure that the financial audit function provides an independent assessment of the adequacy of the Sawiris Foundation internal systems and controls.

Overall Accountabilities:

  • Assist in the development and executing the audit plans for programs, including data collection, and documentation.
  • Receive and review financial reports from NGOs
  • Coordinate with the technical officer in preparing for the project Audit visits.
  • Conduct audit visits to the projects to review the financial supporting documents at the NGOs Headquarters.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial reporting standards, accounting principles, and donor requirements.
  • Prepare and review audit reports, ensuring they are accurate, comprehensive, and clearly communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Prepare the payment request after the financial audit is finalized.
  • Collaborate with program managers, finance, and external stakeholders to gather information and address audit-related inquiries.
  • Under the supervision of the senior auditors, contribute to the negotiations and agreement of the assigned projects during concept note, proposal and contract terms with the partner NGOs to maintain objectivity and validity of financial allocation against activity and ensure high quality of implementation and in accordance with the sector policy.
  • Handle and carry out any other duties addressed by the sector Director within the sector roles and responsibilities.
  • Provide administrative support to senior auditors, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and organizing files.

Monitoring and Evaluation:

  • Submit quarter and year-end progress report to the direct manager that represent the achievement of the audit activities and alignment with the sector strategic objectives.
  • Submit regular audit finding report for the assigned programs/projects to the financial auditors on programs directors/ manager that represent the financial performance of the partner NGOs.

Collaborate with other sectors:

  • Work closely and collaboratively with internal colleagues and partners to implement audit
  • Provide financial database in collaboration with the MIS to ensure financial operations are properly documented and supported.

Networking and Communication:

  • Initiate, establish and maintain effective relationships with key program stakeholders (e.g. partners, private sector, and relevant Ministries).
  • Attend and contribute to meetings attended by the Director.

Position Relationship with Other Parties:

  • Internal Relationships: All sectors.
  • External Relationships: Banks, National & International NGOs.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Financial Audit and Analysis.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience
  • Excellent knowledge of banking/financial business operations and risk- based auditing
  • Excellent understanding of the standards of the Institute of Inter Auditors (IIA) and ability to fully comply with IIA standards

Required Computer Skills:

Advanced computer literacy with excellent command of MS office. Knowledge of data collection tools and Management information system.

Required Languages:

Arabic and English proficiency.
