The Economic Empowerment sector focuses on the poor population in Egypt and aims for 20,000 households to increase their income by 2028. The lack or loss of income makes it difficult for Egyptians to afford the necessities and often leads to multidimensional poverty, as individuals do not have the resources to ensure decent living standards. Through funding job training, job matching and placement opportunities, and effectively supporting the growth of micro and small businesses, the Economic Empowerment sector aims to bridge the gap between Egypt’s labor market demand and supply sides, especially in the most vulnerable communities in poor governorates.
