Sawiris Foundation looks to provide quality and inclusive preprimary education to 30,000 Children aged 2 to 4, through investing in Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) interventions that tackle awareness raising to parents on the value of pre-primary education on their children’s development and wellbeing. Sawiris Foundation is also working on upgrading the quality-of-service provision within the ECCD facilities. This includes improving ECCD facilities, building facilitators’ capacities as well as improving management skills for managers of ECCD facilities. The Ministry of Social Solidarity is also heavily involved in building quality assessment systems for ECCD services, given that the Early Childhood Program is one of the first national programs offering an integrated approach, which has shown positive impact through randomized control trials.
