The submitted work must be a first edition publication, whether inside or outside Egypt, and must have an International Standard Book Number (ISBN) issued between 2021 and 2023.
The submitted work must not be a scientific thesis or research intended for an academic degree.
The submitted work must not have received any other Egyptian, Arab, or international award.
Each author may submit only one work, limited to one category of the award branches.
The applicant may not submit the same work to another competition during the same period.
The author confirms that the submitted work is original and not generated by artificial intelligence. Submitted works will be checked using specialized software to verify their originality.
Nominations are accepted from individuals as well as cultural institutions, universities, and organizations.
The specialized committees reserve the right to withhold or withdraw the award in any of its branches without giving reasons, even after it has been granted.
In case of winning a highly distinguished work, the Board of Trustees of the award may decide to translate the work into other languages.
The publishing house that wins the most awards will be honored and receive an appreciation certificate at the annual Sawiris Cultural Award ceremony.
There is no specific age requirement for applicants.
