Lawrence Memorial / Regis College Nursing Program, USA – was designated a National League for Nursing Center of Excellence in 2008, the first in New England and one of only 13 nationwide. This associate of science with a major in nursing program provides expert faculty and a diverse and flexible curriculum which maximizes clinical learning experience. Graduates qualify to take the national examination for licensure as registered nurses.

As one of its most important development projects, Sawiris Foundation has officially opened the Gouna Technical Nursing Institute in April 2010, under the supervision of Egypt’s Ministry of High Education, and in collaboration with the Lawrence Memorial/Regis College Nursing Program in the US.
The period of study (theoretical and practical) is two and half years to be followed by intensive practical training in a hospital for 3months as a condition for obtaining the nursing diploma.
The academic system in the GTNI is fully in English with intensive English courses in the first semester and throughout the curriculum, and is responsive to the diverse needs of students in order to develop linguistic ability and nursing aptitude to function effectively in both national and international health care environments.
The Gouna Technical Nursing Institute devotes a great effort on preparing qualified professional nurses who will provide comprehensive health care to the public in accordance with international standards and requirements of the labor market.
