Project Description:

The project aims to improve the housing and living conditions of the most impoverished communities living in the poorest villages in Sohag by providing them with basic services for their homes to be of an adequate condition, taking into account the environmental and economic dimensions of the interventions. The project aims to provide basic services such as restoration and reconstruction of the house, providing them with roofs, bathrooms, and connections for water and sanitation to ensure a humane life. The project aims to raise community awareness of the most persistent topics including health and social issues, to stimulate community participation through mobilizing local resources, and to provide medical services to reduce the incidence of diseases spread among the beneficiaries. The project targets the poorest households, especially those that are headed by women or who have a member with disabilities. The project is implemented in cooperation with Raie Misr Foundation as an executing partner and shareholder with a rate of 16,72% of the financing value of 19.3 million EGP, of which 16.1 million EGP is the contribution of Sawiris Foundation.
