Ready-made garment production has the potential not just to fuel export revenues, but also to help maintain and increase mass employment. The RMG sector is an effective driver for employment due to the amount of labor it requires – an area where Egypt has a natural advantage. Sawiris foundation believes that it is neither difficult nor expensive to train workers for the RMG industry.

This 18-month project aims to train and employ 900 youths in Qualioubia factories for garment manufacturing. Upon completion of the training, beneficiaries will be granted a certificate accredited from Traintex and the Faculty of Applied Arts, Helwan University.
