SFSD Workshop Series on “Impact Evaluation” in Collaboration with J-PAL
In the context of developing and enhancing its role in the field of sustainable development, SFSD held a series of workshop on Impact Evaluation of the winning projects of Sawiris Job Creation Competition that aim to create 20,000 jobs in 8 governorates in Upper Egypt. The workshops aim to build the capacity of the implementing NGO, and provide them with the required training on the most effective mechanisms and tools for projects monitoring and evaluation based on randomized control trials, in order to access to the effective and innovative ideas to combat the unemployment crisis in Upper Egypt.
The 1st workshop took place from 14 - 16 August, in Cairo, with the participation of SFSD team of the projects and microcredit departments, and representatives of the implementing NGOs. The workshop was moderated by Mr. Abdelrahman Nagy, J-PAL Regional Representative.
The 2nd workshop held on 19 -20 October , in Assiut, with the participation of 22 representatives of the implementing NGOs from Fayoum, Beni Suef, Minya, Assiut, and Sohag,
On 24-25 October 25, the 3rd workshop took place in Qena, "with the participation of 19 representatives of the implementing NGOs from Luxor, Aswan and Qena.
