SFSD Participates in “Investing in The Future” Conference, Sharjah, UAE
SFSD Executive Director, Eng. Noura Selim, participated in the regional conference: “Investing in The Future: Building the Resilience of Women and Girls in the Arab Region” at the plenary session “Strategic Partnerships for Economic Development”. The panel brought together the following speakers:

The panelists discussed the role of different partners in addressing the constrains that hinder the full participation of young women in the economy of the region in addition to exploring present strategies and partnerships for over-coming the barriers to women’s economic empowerment.
The Two- days conference, hosted by The UN Women, in partnership with The Big Heart Foundation, and under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, brings together government representatives, international organizations, NGOs, gender equality practitioners, academics and other experts from the region and beyond. The goal was to review, discuss and generate knowledge that these strategic partners can benefit from and that could potentially lead to effective partnerships between them with the goal of ensuring a sustainable approach to economic development and humanitarian programming that maintains resilience of women and girls at the core.
