Raising community awareness of the importance and value of the work among 500 young people and community leaders in Warraq.
Building the capacity of 5 young people from the natural leaders of El Warraq neighborhood to participate in the implementation of the projects activities.
Furnishing and equipping of the Rehabilitation and Vocational Training Center as a contribution of the Egyptian Foundation for Family Development.
The project aims to train 250 beneficiaries in the fields of garment and leather manufacturing and provide them with job opportunities in available factories and workshops.
The training will be delivered by Egyptian Association for Training and Research Services for Ready Made Garment and Textile (TrainTex), and Technology Competency Center for the manufacture of leather center. In addition, the Rehabilitation and Vocational Training Center that belongs to The Egyptian Foundation for Family Development, will contribute in creating jobs for the beneficiaries.
This project comes within the context of the protocol of cooperation between the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the Sawiris Foundation, in order to implement the “Combating Unemployment” initiative, with a total of approximately EGP 10 millions allocated by Sawiris Foundation, to create 5000 job opportunities in five slums in Giza and Cairo: Ezbet El-Nasr in El-Basateen neighborhood, Geziret El-Dahab in the South of Giza, Ain Shams, Warraq in Imbaba and Talbia in Haram district.
