SFSD & LRC celebrate the Masters graduates in Special and Inclusive Education 2015

Sawiris Foundation for Social Development (SFSD), in collaboration with the Learning Resource Center (LRC) and the University College London, celebrated the graduates who have successfully obtained their Masters Degrees in Special and Inclusive Education.

The commencement ceremony took place, on May 23, 2015, to confer degrees and distribute Master's certificates to 21 graduates, including 8 graduates who have received grants from SFSD.

This scholarship program aims to create a cadre of skilled Special Education Needs teachers and coordinators. The program takes place through face-to-face tutorials with IOE lecturers as well as study groups through LRC. In addition, video conferences are held for students at the British Council in Egypt. Other services are also available to all registered students such as access to library services at the IOE, online services, e-journals and postal service.

The scholarship package includes partial tuition fees coverage ranging from 40% to 80% based on financial need. Since the establishment of this program in 2007, SFSD has Sponsored 27 students, who now are qualified teacher working with special needs students across Egypt.
