Education & Scholarship Officer
Sawiris Foundation for Social Development is seeking an EDUCATION & SCHOLARSHIP OFFICER
REPORTS TO: Education & Scholarships Program Manager
WORKINH HOURS /WEEK: 39.5
Assist the department ensuring that the Foundation projects & Programs operate effectively and efficiently in accordance with strategic plans.
1- SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS:
Receive and answer mail, e-mail and telephonic inquiries for information regarding the scholarship programs.
Receive and file all applications, Student Aid Reports for educational scholarships.
Mailing award notification packets, receiving and recording all documents,
Gather and distribute program materials as needed.
Responsible for the accuracy of recorded data in the database and department shared drive.
Maintain the department material on SFSD website.
Assist communication efforts to department customers including e-mail, text messaging, and social media.
Provide assistance as needed for the Foundation’s Scholarship announcement ceremonies and other events.
Support in setting up new scholarship programs from protocol development phase to student selection.
Support in Scholarship student interviews as need be.
2- EDUCATIONAL PROJECTS
Undertake administrative work related to projects including filing, letter writing, and documentation of project progress.
Assist in identifying of new projects by meeting SFSD representatives, following leads, and conducting research related to project proposals.
Assist in preparing proposals, tenders and pre-qualification documents.
Assist in monitoring and supervising projects through regular communication with partners, field visits, reviewing of technical reports.
Responsible for periodic update of projects portfolio at SFSD website.
Research topics related to education, which are of interest to the Foundation.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Department Manager.
EDUCATION: Bachelor degree in related field preferred.
WORK EXPERIENCE: A minimum 4 years work experience in a related field.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Intermediate computer literacy, with experience on word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and databases.
Native-speaker proficiency in Arabic composition.
Proficiency in English composition, Intermediate experience in report writing.
Intermediate proficiency in translation of documents from Arabic to English
Ability to travel to Egypt’s governorates.
Basic legal knowledge is preferred.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills.
The ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks at the same time.
